Kester served in WWII on the front lines in the Pacific, earning the Bronze Star.
The Kester family purchased a tract of land in Highland County and built a cabin there so the family could hunt and fish and spend time together in the beauty and peace of the “whispering pines.” Before the U.S. Forest Service forced Dominion to move its route, the pipeline corridor would have bisected the Kester property, demolishing the cabin, and threatening the springs and wells.
On Veterans Day remember to honor America’s veterans for defending our country and our freedoms and for their willingness to sacrifice all for our principles.
These men and women had our backs. Now let’s stand up for them.
Don’t let a private corporation take their land and trample their rights for private gain.
Say NO to the Atlantic Coast Pipeline!
